In 1964, Ford went to the 24 hours of little Mans with the intension of beating Ferrari, but they did not achieve this goal. So then in 1966 they returned and won the 24 hours of little Mans. Then they won it again three more times in a row. This time the big V-8 was replaced with a 3.5 liter twin-turbo ecoboost V-6 with intercoolers. It won the very competitive gte-pro class and celebrated a triumphant return.
