Originally in a small metal tin, Coccoina has expanded its offerings to include glue sticks for those who prefer the stick over the metal tin of paste. Coccoina has developed a new formula for its glue sticks where now, instead of being based off potato starch and water (like the original paste in a tin still is), its based on an ingredient called polyvinylpyrrolidone. The glue sticks are still solvent free and clean up easy with water, are nontoxic and child safe and can be used on paper crafts, but this new formula allows it to act more like an actual glue stick rather than soft paste in a tube. In 1927, Italian businessman Aldo Balma invented a new unbreakable aluminum packaging for solid glue in order to compete with the common glue sold in glass jars at the time. The ingenious aluminum can featured a brush holder in the middle of the can with a brush that could deploy thin layers of the glue.
