These reels are a re imagined version of the original Daiwa Ninja spinning reels with the new LT(light and tough) design. Built with a super lightweight and durable graphite body/rotor as well as Daiwa’s airbail technology, this bail is made from SUS303 steel and is up to 20% tougher than a solid titanium bail of the same weight! This makes these reels a pleasure to fish with as the lightweight frame allows you to cast all day long without fatigue and the additional durability will help prevent any damages from accidental bumps and scrapes. These reels feature tough Digigear technology. This gearing technology transmits power smoothly and efficiently from the handle directly into the rotor. Using digital development for precise performance Daiwa have been able to further enhance the lifespan and smoothness of these reels whilst minimising resistance created whilst fishing. The greater transition of power is ideal when playing hard fighting fish giving you more cranking power every turn. The Daiwa Ninja LT features an ATD or Automatic Tournament Drag, this implements structural changes that will support the spool allowing you to make even more precise drag adjustments. This additional support also reduces spool twist under load, giving you more even pressure on the drag washers and reducing the “pulsing” of the drag when fighting fish giving you total control. To round off these reels they feature a lightweight yet powerful machine cut aluminium spool, a soft touch handle that is easy to grip and a new generation line clip which can hold braid, monofilament or fluorocarbon without damaging the line. The handle on this reel is ideal for maximising the energy transfer from the handle which helps when playing larger fish. The soft touch design on the handle offers you exceptional grip even in wet conditions. Here at Angling Active we recommend using the larger models (4000, 5000, 6000) when targeting salmon, sea trout and predators and using the smaller size reel options (2000, 2500, 3000) when targeting trout and perch on lures.
