Applications: Steam & Fountain The 4CB5 water filter is five micron carbon block and can be used in place of any 4-size Everpure cartridge. i.e. 4C, 4K Plus, etc. We have three models of 4CB5 water filters for you to choose from: 4CB5 4CB5S 4CB5K The difference between the 4CB5 and the 4CB5S is scale inhibition. The S at the end of 4CB5S stands for 'scale'. The K at the end of 4CB5K stands for KDF media, which helps control slime and scale. The 4CB5 water filter removes particles down to 5 microns. The carbon block technology provides dirt, chlorine, taste and odor reduction. The sanitary quick change cartridge is easy to install and replace. Because this is a 5-micron carbon block filter, it will provide longer life than Everpure 1/2 micron precoat water filters. With 5-micron filters you are giving up NSF standard 53 for cyst reduction, for longer filter life. Examples of cysts are Cryptosporidium and Giardia Lamblia. You will still get exceptional chlorine and particulate reduction. If you require additional capacity, consider the 7CB5 water filter.
