After a nuclear warhead was detonated in Los Angeles, the United States sought to deactivate and destroy all AI-equipped technology to prevent its threat to humankind, whilst New Asia continued develop and integrate AI into society. American soldier Joshua (Washington) is sent on a covert mission to New Asia to infiltrate a group which has connections to the mysterious Nirmata, an AI creator whose identity remains unknown and who is rumoured to have created a powerful AI weapon. Joshua, however, has since fallen for his source, Maya (Chan), who is expecting his child.
