VU Meter Mode vs RMS Meter Mode - Whats the difference? - Cubase - Steinberg Forums

Please I need some help, i’m new to meters and dB scales. In Supervision what is the difference between VU meter mode and RMS meter mode? They show very similar values, just that the RMS mode moves its neddles a bit slower than the VU Mode. Aren’t all VU meters measuring in RMS? Is this RMS mode in Supervision something else? Thank you!
